Who am I?
Well, my name is John. Or 10k, as I’m known online in a few “movie geek” circles. That comes from back in the day when I owned and operated a small movie review and discussion website called MovieJustice. MJ, as the regulars called it, was around for 7 years while I ran it, but sadly no longer exists, at least in any form I’d recognize from the days I was involved in it.
This blog is my personal space online, to post personal writings or just randomness I may think at the time is worthy of putting on the internet. Most visitors have come simply for the poems and reflective pieces, and if that’s your thing, then by all means feel free to stop back and check them out. The rest of the posts won’t feel neglected, I promise.
Oh…and why 10klakes.com? Well, 10k means 10,000. As in “Minnesota, the Land of 10,000 Lakes”. My online username was always 10klakes, because, well…I’m from Minnesota. That was then shortened to 10k (see above) because it was just cooler. Still is.
I suppose I should mention I’m a bisexual guy. A lot of people claim that bisexuality doesn’t exist, that bisexuals are creatures of myth. Much like a unicorn. Or a hobbit. Well, this mythical bisexual guy is living quite happily in Saint Paul with his partner. He makes me happier than I ever thought another person could. And while I try to prove that bisexuality does truly exist outside of the common myth and misconception, he certainly does make me feel as if I live in a fairy tale sometimes.
Thanks for stopping by. Don’t break anything. I just rent here.
